BGL Group donate some Soup

Staff from BGL group’s Sunderland Office visited the Joseph Cowen today to donate clothes and Soup to help our homeless service users.

The brilliant people at BGL’s Fusion House office have shown their generosity, spending the last few weeks collecting items of clothing for our homeless centre. BGL Group topped up their staff’s donation by providing boxes of soup, which will be offered to service users whilst attending the centre.

This is the second donation that BGL have made to the centre over the last few months. Our service users have really appreciated the effort their staff and the organisation are making to help turn people’s lives around and we would like to say a huge thank you for their efforts.

Our Homelessness Manager Jenny Harrison said:

The Joseph Cowen Centre provides healthcare advice services to homeless men and women and those who cannot register with a GP. The centre offers a needle exchange service, food vouchers, private rooms as well as the opportunity of a welcome cup of tea, warm bath and shower and change of clothing.

Everyone at the Joseph Cowen would like to say a big thank you to BGL group for their generous donation. Donations like this one go a long way to improve the lives of our clients and the also service that we can provide them with.

The Joseph Cowen welcomes donations of food and clothing, particularly underwear. We also accept cash donations which are used to fund our various services.
