Annie is a Registered Nurse and is a Director of Nursing at the NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board. Having come to the UK from abroad over 30 years ago, Annie has held senior management and Board level positions in a range of commissioning and provider organisations in the NHS and private sector. Annie joined Tyne as a Board member in 2019, bringing with her a wealth of operational delivery and strategic planning experience gained as a clinician and manager in hospital and primary care settings.
Annie is passionate about health and racial equity, and has worked on diversity and inclusion priorities at regional and national levels. Annie would like to use her professional and lived experience to help to make a positive difference for people from ‘all’ backgrounds and heritage! Annie is also a mentor at The Prince’s Trust.
Annie holds a Master in Business Administration from Henley Management College, and an LLM in Medical Law and a Professional Doctorate from Northumbria University Newcastle.
