We’re currently looking to recruit a Supported Housing Officer to join our Housing Team.
Support from Tyne starts with the relationship, no two people are the same, so we lead with progressive and individual support. It could be finding a home, breaking an addiction or building skills for the future. We can provide stability, safety and straight-talking guidance.
The majority of people who live with us at Tyne have experienced complex issues in their lives and often come to us after being excluded from other housing options due to their lifestyle, offending history or difficulties in managing finances. Most residents have experienced periods of homelessness or unstable housing and struggle with multiple social and health issues relating to addiction and mental wellbeing.
The role of a Supported Housing Officer is to provide tailored help and support to our residents. Utilising Tyne’s model of support as a framework, you will work alongside each resident, providing practical, hands on support tailored to the needs of the individual in order to help them develop the skills and confidence they need to move towards independence.
As our support never stops, you will be asked to help provide, on a rota basis, some additional back-up to our out of hours concierge service between 5-9 on weeknights. We’re incredibly proud of our Supported Housing Officers and the amazing job that they do. At a time when many people are thinking “How can I make a difference?” filling in this application form could be the first step to answering that question.
