Housing Assistant

  • Salary £21,255 - £22,341
  • Location Newcastle

This is a great chance for someone not experienced in housing to gain valuable experience that could potentially enable them to pursue a career in housing.

You will work with our Housing Managers and Support Teams to help provide a safe and secure environment for our residents.

You will carry out property inspections and health and safety checks to make sure our properties are in a good condition.

You will deal with repairs, working with our great team of contractors to diagnose what’s wrong, arrange for repairs to be carried out, ensure access to properties, and make sure that work is done to a high standard.

You will work with our Supported Housing Teams to get empty properties turned round quickly, including organising repairs, cleaning and ordering furniture.

You will also have a role in working with our Supported Housing teams to ensure that residents are abiding by the terms of their occupancy agreement.

You will need to be comfortable managing your own workload, organising your schedule, and, with the help and support of your Manager, ensure that checks and works are properly documented.
