Tyne has was founded in 1973 and since then we have been supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community to gain greater independence and get their lives back on a firmer footing.
Many of our clients are, or have been, homeless, and they suffer from a range of problems such as mental health issues, difficulties with addiction, and exclusion from mainstream housing.
You will work with our Support Workers, helping our residents back to independence. The main aspects of your role will be ensuring the properties are safe and in good condition, by regular inspection and working with our specialist contractors. You will be ordering repairs, arranging access, monitoring contractor performance and inspecting work carried out.
You will also have a role in supporting the Housing Manager to deal with rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and other issues connected to ensuring residents abide by their occupancy agreements.
It is a busy, rewarding job, perfect for someone who wants to get some experience of working within a supported housing environment.
