Housing Worker

  • Salary £20,130-£21,670
  • Location Newcastle
  • Status Full Time
  • Deadline 2 November 2021

At Tyne we are so proud of our housing staff and the amazing job that they do.

Working with our staff and our residents we have come up with our “Model of Support” which sets out the principles that guide us when we work with people.

We believe that everyone deserves a chance and since 1973 we have been working with the most vulnerable, most left-behind groups in our community – people that many other agencies won’t work with.

We support people to live independent lives but we also need staff to make sure that our residents live in safe, well-maintained properties, that they understand what’s required of them from their occupancy agreements, and that someone is there to deal with it when things go wrong.

This role will help the Support Workers to concentrate on what they do best – support our residents to get to a better place. You will be taking care of the housing management side – ordering repairs, liaising with contractors, managing tenancies and licenses including rent and anti-social behaviour issues, and ensuring that our properties maintain their current high standards.

As our support never stops you will be asked to help provide, on a rota basis, some additional back-up to our out of hours concierge service between 5-9 on weeknights but you do get additional pay for this.
