Senior Supported Housing Officer

  • Salary £24,038 - £26,370
  • Location South Tyneside/Gateshead
  • Status 37.5 per week
  • Deadline 7 August 2022

As a Senior Supported Housing Officer, you will play a key role in assisting the Housing Manager to lead, organise and motivate a team of supported housing officers, as well as sometimes needing to deputise for the Housing Manager in their absence.

It’s a demanding, challenging role that requires energy, good humour, leadership skills as well as attention to detail and an understanding of the challenges faced by our residents.

As well as your duties supporting the Housing Manager you will have a small caseload of clients to support. You will be supporting vulnerable people in gaining their independence, helping them to develop the skills and resilience needed to move back into more mainstream accommodation.

As our support never stops, and our clients don’t always keep to office hours, you will be expected to take part, with other managers, in a Manager on Call rota, providing advice and support to our 24-hour staff. You need not carry out this role more than approximately 3-4 times a year and an additional allowance will be paid.
